Transmission line box

Anyone ever fit a 20 inch deep sub box in an e30? I want to build a transmission line box for an FI BL 2 ohm, but the only way it will work is if its outer dimensions are 36wx15hx20d, and i have a fairly hard time even fitting my 36x15x15 box into my trunk opening, so will a 20" deep box even go through the trunk opening in one peice?

Build it in 2 halves, glue and screw it together in the car.

Thats what i was thinkin about doing, do you know what the deepest box is that you can fit through the trunk?

I don't. I know I did a 4 cubic foot box long ago that did not fit...
