    Porting questions

When you use port tuning calculators for sub boxes, is the length you get the length of port inside the box or overall length? For example, i want to port my box through my rear deck, say the ports have to be 25 inches long would that be twenty five inches of port inside the box, or total length including what is running from the top of the box into the rear deck?

That probably doesnt make any sense, but its worth a try.

    Thanks,
    Jesse

'tis correct, just calculate tuning with port displacement adjusted to compensate for how much port is still in the box.

Keep in mind that no box program in the world compensates for what the internal airspace of the car does to the woofers output. Don't worry about getting dead nuts perfect on your port length in other words.
