    real quick cigarette lighter question

A few weeks ago when I was trying to figure out my audio situation, the PO had a lot of exposed wires coming out of the radio slot. I had my center console and carpet taken out, in addition to the head unit. I rested my cigerette lighter inside the radio slot like a dummy, not realizing that there are exposed wires, and an odd small puff of smoke came from a wire that touched the metal piece of the cigarette lighter socket. My cigarette lighter has not worked since. Unfortunately I don't have a multimeter to test these things, but it does sound like a fuse gave way correct?
