That looks great but I think people without armrest seat would die to know how it sounds with all the seat back foam in front of the sub and ports !

If I build a similar box, I dont want to modify my seat back, will it sound good ? Or will it need tons of WRMS for me to hear it ?

It is surprising how good it sounds. Some music is better that others. Frank Z is really good. Beck is too club heavy for the rear seat. However I'm thinking about moding it somehow. My plan is to get an armrest rear seat and mod the current rear seat cover to fit.

BUT if you have a cloth stock rear seat you will be surprised at how well it works. I may try to remove some of the foam from the seat back this spring. If the rest of the car wasn't so nice, I'd try the port thing.

        Might try the port anyway.

          John,

Sounds good. I have an Alpina with original Alpina clothing and I definitely don't want to butcher my seat back if I install a similar box.

What is your amp and sub power ??

          Cheers Pierre

            Hmm

I'm using the Alpine 9803 that came with my car when I bought it. I then bought an iPhone interface that plugged into the back as a line level input.

Then I got 4 of these in the stock locations.

            Then one of these

Mix in a Luke Box and a cheepo sub like this one

Wala! Or should I say Wammo!

An Audiophile friend of mine was saying to a friend of his in front of me that I had like 3K tied up in the system. He had only heard it. I had to come clean and say I had less than 600 in the whole thing.

I gotta take a picture of the trim plate in place. It makes the whole trunk look finished and most people wouldn't even know when the trunk is open.

So, here is the funny thing: due to the Coustic woofer being 4 ohm, that amp is only making 1/2 the power it should on bass.

I think he would be shocked at what that would do with a proper 2 ohm load, like (fer example) the Infinity Reference 1062
