So I just ordered a full set of cadence zrs components and wondered if anybody on here is running them, and if so how much power would you recommend putting to them? Spec is 60rms but ive heard they have decent power handling.

I wouldn't run more than 50wrms to them. Almost any component out there (outside $$$ ones) are going to be more than anyone could ever want (earbleedingly loud) with 35-50 TRUE watts rms on them.
That means finding an amp rated at ~13.5v not 14.4v like most do. Or buy one rated at 14.4v that does 75w rms and you'll be set. I don't know all the math/theories behind that, I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in."A good memory for quotes combined with a poor memory for attribution can lead to a false sense of originality."

Lemme ax you a question: do you have any real idea (numerically speaking) about how loud you wanna go? Any idea (again, actual numbers, not opinion) of what frequency range you are expecting here?
You talking about the ZRS5 kit? $50 on Amazon?
If so, there is no way in hell those could stand even 50 watts RMS, you would be scraping speaker bits off your kneecaps. In highpass of say 100Hz @ 18db/oct, you might get them to be OK with 50RMS, but that would be pushing it.
On the other hand...they are a terrific value, will play plenty loud, should be pretty clean and in general look like a winner!

Numerically speaking, i dont really know. Ive heard some nice setups that hit around 140db and while i wont be getting that loud by any means, i do want to have the capability to make my ears bleed. The sensitivity on em is 93db so i think they'd be pretty damn loud even on 40-50 true rms. I have a 2 channel that makes 360 rms rated (shitty amp, so probably not close to that in actuality) would i be able to use that to power them if i kept the gain low, or should i find a 4 channel?
Oh and Luke, i have my woofer and mono amp now so as soon as i recieve the speakers I'll call you about mentoring for my senior project like i messaged you about, if your still cool with that.

Oh hell yes, anytime. More shit is starting too, so slave labor will be helpful.
You will find you will never ever be able to get anywhere near "ear bleed" (call it 130ish) if your speakers are blasting your ankles and are tiny ass 5.25" drivers.
2 drivers in the same frequency range in close proximity to each other and on the same phase axis will give a 3db increase in sensitivity. Double that (4 drivers) and you get a 12db boost, or the equivalent of more than 10X the wattage. What I am saying is if you want your shit to be LOUD, think about 3 or 4 5" drivers in a vertical line at the front of each door. Build crossovers so that all of them make midbass, but only the top one makes actual midrange. Even a cheap driver like that Cadence would be able to make 140ish DB at 150Hz...on about 75 watts RMS.
Just a thought...

For sure i'll give you a call as soon as i have all my shit in order and hopefully a decent paycheck, but thats not too likely working at a carwash in the winter.
That sounds like it would be completely ridiculous, and exactly what i want. Im gonna have all kinds of questions when i come up there haha
