    Drivers lock issue,go keyless?

The drivers key won't turn and its sitting in the horizontal position instead of vertical. The passenger side locks/unlocks with the key,the trunk also refuses to turn with the key(but is unlocked) and the fuel door is locked.
So whats my best way to deal with it?,new drivers side lock is $50 but then there's a key for the door and one for the igntion(kind of a pain),I need to get the fuel door unlocked as I'd like to add some sta-bil and fresh fuel for the remainder of the winter storage.
I've read thru ALOT of central locking issue threads and keyless system threads, wife wants an alarm so do I go with a keyless system that includes an alarm?.If I go this route will that solve the locked fuel door and unlocked trunk?.Still need to replace the drivers side lock?.Sorry for playing 1000 questions.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Get the rebuilt kit for about 35.00 for the drivers side lock from dealership or bimmerspecialist or whatever bmw parts place you use. your lock is stuck in deadbolt. this way you recode your existing lock to the key you have and won't need a separate key. Your trunk look is frozen, or seized, lack of lube. Can be unseized with some patience and know how. the passenger side shouldn't turn or unlock if the car has a working drivers side deadbolt (horizontal) lock. I have a feeling your drivers lock is disconnected from the whole system enabling the passenger side to work.
This won't solve it as the actuator needs to be disconnected from the lock. the central control module is what regulates and synchronizes the locks to close and open. If the control unit is not working right -remote entry won't solve the problem because it works with your CCM. Unless the remote has a separate control unit to overide the CCM; this way remote unit signals the actuators to open or close and not the oem CCM in your car.
