Hey what's up guys, so for some time now my radio hasn't been working really good. Its just pure static except for 105.1 and sometimes 103.5. Anyways so the antenta on the car is bent and doesn't go up or down, so I wanna replace it, I just want to know if there is any way to put a stubby antena on an e30? If not what's a pretty decent replacement for my current antena.

yup there is. its called a z3 antenna retrofit. pretty pricey (but still a lot cheaper than buying a new hirschman antenna plus its more reliable) when its brand new but I have it and love it.Hey what's up guys, so for some time now my radio hasn't been working really good. I'm also selling a necessary piece to the project if you need it
also, are you running an aftermarket deck? make sure the 12v connections that run to the amp or antenna are secure because it makes a big difference in receptionLast edited by bmwstephen; 01-25-2011, 09:07 PM.Comment

sounds good, your problem is narrowed down to the stock antenna then. you can easily purchase an entire stubby antenna set up for under $100 brand new from
bmwmercedesparts.com
if you can survive using the stock head unit at the moment. i recommend you sticking with it. to me it wasn't worth the headache of wiring an aftermarket deck since I realized listen to the radio 99% of the time anywayComment
