Stupid installer tricks (why my domelight would not shut off)

This is the worst stupid thing I have ever seen done. Trust me, I have seen zillions of stupid bullshit tricks from installers, from the dash light circuit used as ground (AKA "Daylight Radio") to wires wrapped around steering columns or brake pedals...but this is the winner.

I should probably mention this is the right rear door on my E34

      Ha, 2 wires, 1 tap? :D

I think my favorite coming into the shop I installed at was a DIY'er who ran the power/ground out the passenger door, in between the A pillar/fender and then under the hood to the battery (funny enough, this was on an E30 :P)

That scotchlock is old...the domelights have been stuck on for YEARS...also someone stripped and twisted together the 2 wires from the temp gauge...no clue why it pegged before even starting the motor!
