So when i got my e30 it had a radio in it that was ok but i didn't like the way it looked and the features it had and the fact that it skipped over every little bump since i had to use the cd. So i looked around for radios to see what i liked and saw around on this website, the cd43. I looked it up, liked how it matched the e30 interior so well (or at least better than most other radios) and i took the plunge to buy one. Now i have ordered my pigtail for the radio to install it but from what i have read, you need to power you speakers with a bigger than the factory amp (I have the premium system also). So my question is, if i get a 4 channel amp, run it to all my mids and tweeters, how do i retain the factory wiring? From what i understand, I also have to run it through a line converter if i want to be able to hook it up to a sub. Any help is greatly appreciated and from what i can tell, there are quite a few audio experts on here.
