Need a good 5 channel amp to power a 10 inch sub (most likely an Infinity Reference) and a component setup.
Suggestions?
Luke had mentioned the Jensen power 5500. I personally haven't had any experience with it but I'll be getting one to put in my very this spring. He also installed one pushing the infinity reference 1062w and said it sounds good so i guess its worth a shot?
55w x 4 + 225w x 1 into 4 ohms
75w x 4 + 360w x 1 into 2 ohms
The annoying part is you can't use a single line in for all three channels--you have to split the inputs yourself. But that with a 1062W and the stock premium speakers is absolutely retarded loud.
Smokin' deal right there, if it sells for under $150ish. Hell, I might get that instead of the Jensen, even though it is still taiwan or Korean crap, it is really pretty and I like the controls on top.
Doesn't seem to mention a sub level controller though.
EDIT: history shows that amp selling typically for about $300 from them. I bet they deny you the sale if you bid under that. I will call the rep in the AM (I have known him for over 20 years) and see what kind of deal I can get.
^ best deal you can find online. Ive bought some JBL home speakers from them before. They are brand new, not one blemish
i am seriously considering that amp now that you posted it!! only question i have, is if you look at the specs and the info they post, it says certified JBL, and under the specs it says 350 rms @ 2 OHM ? (as in they dont know cause there is a question mark... it just seems lil like bad copy past job to me...)
Yeah still at $113. That eBay store is AWESOME. And the products are all just certified Harman Audio. Maybe a scratch on it, if that. Both things I have bought from there, my speakers and an iPod dock, were brand new.
