I think that may be pushing it. it's 250W total if I recall. I'm running my SVC at 290w rms and it sounds awesome. The VC on it is pretty big so I think it may be able to handle 400rms of CLEAN power. Just be mindful of your gain.

I'm gonna keep it, run it at 8 ohms bridged, and maybe someday I'll get an amp that will do 2 ohms safely. At least I have the flexibility now. Oh, and BTW, this is one pretty nicely turned out woofer! I think the build quality is every bit as good, and maybe better, than my Infinity.

    Thanks Luke.
Brian, find the money to get the Jensen 5 channel at sonicelectronix. $140 and you have all the power you need for the whole system.

Well, how about I buy your DVC and you order another SVC. 10" right?

I ordered one of these, SVC because I'm using a stereo amp that's bridged (4 ohm minimum recommended). They sent me a 4 ohm DVC. A quick look at some wiring diagrams shows me either a 2 ohm load or an 8 ohm load, neither of which I really want. Can I just run each stereo channel of the amp to eacn voice coil and run it that way? I have an external crossover, so the amps controls can be completely bypassed.

I really don't think it's worth trying to do a return, but maybe I'll email them anyway.

Solid, non-folding rear seat. That timing is perfect, and I don't really want to make my own as I'll be far away from my tools. Put me down for one, if shipping is a problem to Canada I can get it shipped to a US addy.

That sucks. Any other recommendations or should I simply step up to a better amp and give this one to my brother? Or another good, relatively (<$150) woofer that will kick ass in an efficient box with 300W RMS.

Now, when I had it powering a 12" infinity reference SVC sub, it didn't exactly make the kind of sound I was hoping for (sub was from a friend), so now I am considering getting a DVC 10" as I like bass that is punchy (i listen to Pink Floyd/Radiohead/Alt Rock not hip-hop). Will this sub in DVC do the trick in a nice ported box sealed into an e36 cabin? The amp only does 150 in 4 ohms but is stable in 2 ohms @ 300 watts.

Just put mine in the other day. Seems like it hits a bit harder than the infinity 1062w despite being 5db/w less sensitive and transient response is definitely much better. Big thumbs up.
