    Check panel weirdness?

So I did my stereo install yesterday and when I did I bypassed the stock amplifier by looping the wires in the rear of the car. I also popped fuse 23 a few times on accident when installing. Although I don't think that has anything to do with this I thought you should know the background.

Now when I get in the car and turn it on everything is peachy keen, until I turn on my lights. As soon as I do the Brake lights, Rear lights and License plate lights turn on in the check panel. When I look at the lights they all work, except the License plate lights. I've tried plugging and unplugging the rear lights and just about everything aside from resetting the car by disconnecting the battery.

    Any ideas?

check to see if the check control box is unplugged. it's the smaller black box that was on the same bracket as the amplifier.
