    Stock Cassette Deck : Issue

Once a cassette is placed in - whether Paul Simon or Jimmy Buffet or Christopher Cross - it sounds like it keeps flipping the tape, unable to decide.

Having been out of the cassette scene for a while. Just the deck needing cleaned or a reason to replace the deck?

And it is staying. I want stock. So no upgrades. Need the tape deck.

You'd hear a clicking noise? I think I remember it switching from 1 to 2.

that is it, exactly. Since the tape is not moving, the sensor in the reel thinks the tape is at the end of a side, so it reverses direction...except it can't, since the drive belt is broken.

I think it will do the CD Changer, its the OEM Premium deck from my 89 325is with Touch Controls for the bass / balance / fader etc.

I can send pics if you like of the front and back.

I just removed it cause my amp was dying, The radio worked perfect from what I could gather just a bad amp.
I have the code as well, Id do $40 shipped if that works for you. If for any reason it doesnt work for you I would
honer it being returned for full refund.

Thought I'd just bump this thread instead of making a new one.

Is it worth it to repair a broken drive belt? Or should I just buy another oem radio?

I dont have the greatest pic since I am at work but I can send a better one later. Heres the one I can show you now.

The little wire / string you see on the left is from an air freshener.
