where does everyone connect their power and grounds for their systems?

For grounds, most guys just screw it straight to the floor. Scrape the paint away first though and then just screw it down. Not sure about power though, someone else will have to answer.

Power to the battery.
Ground to the floor.

Alternativley you can go
power to battery
ground to battery

i just installed my friend's sub and amp in my car...i hooked up the power to the battery and ground to part of the truck closest to the battery...when i turn off the car the sub takes longer to turn off then the deck and everything else...is this normal?
