ever wondered what is behind the plug in the lower left corner of your 13 button OBC ,just found this post on a german site e30.de .turns out there is an adjustment pot for the fuel level calculation which can be adjusted to match the low fuel level light (to adjust for tolerances in manufacturing) .here is a link to a translated page its difficult to read but you can see whats being done http://www.microsofttranslator.com/b...1%2ff00541.htm
so if you find your running out of fuel before you think you should might be worth trying this calibration adjustment
also a nice chart showing the different coding plugs for OBC so if you get one out of a different E30 than what you have you can use this to try to find the correct # coding plug
amazing the little tricks you can find .there is lots of other good info on this site in german but it can be translated (still difficult to understand sometimes) but fun to try. found this while trying to find a link to european ETM manuals which i never did find ,ah well the search goes on ....
