I have zero respect for most Focal product. No midbass, shrill upper midrange, piss poor power handling and worst of all is the damn treble. Might as well have banshees in your car, especially if you have anything but Utopias...no love at all for that overpriced crap.

These are very close to the best performing speaker ever made, certainly top 5 in this size. I ave no clue if they will fit the stock locations.

So what would be your top five in this size?

$25 vifa walks all over his ring radiator. 4" midrange is dull and lifeless even on axis. Midbass is nothing to write home about either. This is in a solid install that took a week to complete.

My latest evolution if you care to know consists of Nakamichi sp-80 midbasses, older JBL GTi 4" midrange/or (2 per side) 3" Tang Bands with Bamboo cone and Vifa xt25 tweeters. Still waiting on (2) Acoustic Elegance 15" IB, but so far running Boston G5 in vented enclosure. All powered by old PPi (2) Art a600.2 and a404.
good stuff. The HA you didn't like, were they the Legatia? What exactly did you not like about them? Just curious on your opinion.

BTW are you coming to bimmerfest on Sat? Or are you going to be lame and not come? :p
Right on, I still dont have extra cash to drop for these, but hopefully soon...and I still dont know if these will fit or not. I guess I might have to experiment in the future.

lol, no I wont be able to go. I really want to but not possible this year. Plus, my e30 is under construction, I would feel out of place next to all the amazing e30s that attend. I hope next year will be the year

Have fun though! and rock that new box! It looks great!!
