    JCV KD-r900 Harness

    Hi Everyone,

    So before I get started on this thread I would like it to be known I have never ever in my life dealt with car wiring or electronics. I recently purchased a JCV KD-r900 and hooked it up via the following:

    New harness/Old wires
    Black(ground)->to body ground
    yellow(constant 12v)->red/gray
    red(acessory terminal)->purple/white >>I have a purple/grey not purple white
    blue/white(remote lead/radio)->white(remote/antenna)
    orange/white(light/dimmer)->red/green
    purple(RR +)->blue/black(RR +)
    purple/black(RR -)->nothing
    green(RL +)->yellow/black(RL +)
    green/black(RL -)->nothing
    white(FL +)->yellow/red(FL +)
    white/black(FL -)->nothing
    grey(FR +)->blue/red(FR +)
    grey/black(FR -)->nothing

    I have not yet attached red, orange/white, or yellow to confirm this and finalize my crimping.

    The first time I did this the unit powered up and the antenna came out but I received no sound. I think it's because I didn't power the amp. I called up Luke and he explained my wiring was correct. I cut out the fader and made the attachments complete. When I did so out came the blue and yellow wire that did nothing from the fader.

    I tried wiring this all up again today because I had time and I recieved no power. I went to check my fuses and blew #12. I went and replaced it and #21 and #28 as well for good measure.

    My questions are as follows: Can somone please confirm I did everything right in my images? I also noticed there TWO white wires. I'm sure my first is right because up comes the antenna ever time it happened to power up.

    Anyone have an idea why I'm not receiving any power now? I have a strange feeling it has to do with my cutting off the fader and the two wires (blue/yellow) that were attached to it :(.

    Luke I know you're going to come across this thread but I didn't want to hit you up and annoy you as you've already been helpful. Wiring simply isn't my forte and I'm trying my best to get it right on my own as I want to say I did this one myself.

    Pictures to describe everything:

    First white wire to blue/white on new harness (remote antenna)

    Wires from harness not used

    Wires from new harness not yet attached

    4 Wires from car not yet attached

    Other white wire (is this to power the amp?)

    Completed wires

    Fuses replaced

    Thanks for any help on clearing this up guys. Do I get an A for effort in trying to be as clear about this as possible? :puppy:
