stock HU vs my pioneer

I absolutely LOVE the way the stock head unit looks like, and with an FM modulator my friend was able to use his ipod with his stock headunit and it's badass.
Now what I have is a Pioneer 1300MP. It's not too flashy looking at all, and looks "alright" in an E30 interior. Not too flashy and blends in well.

I'd like to know, if it's worth switching to the stock headunit and running an FM modulator for the aux connectivity?

I'd stay with the pioneer because the fm modulator sound quality is not good enough for me.
