Mysterious connector

This is a little off topic, since the car in question is not an e30. But in the glove box of my 944 turbo is this connector. I suspect its some sort of connection to the ecu for tuning, but I've never seen one like it before. The car has a custom piggyback installed, the PO had it put in and I have little knowledge of what was done.
