Alright, I've had this problem with my e30 ever since I bought it (over 7 months ago) and who knows how long previously. Windows & blower motor only sporadically work when the car is NOT running but in the ON position. It gets real moody. Once the car is on, there's no hope at all.
Well I was advised to change K5 and K7 relays. Replaced all of them, and got nothin. Checked/replaced fuses, nothin. Wires under the fuse box look good. Replaced the ignition switch with a used one and nothing changed. Switched around the window switches, nada. Damn near blew up the car, but decided to suck it up and bake in the car lol.
Recently I been tryna figure this out due to the hot weather. I checked if the curcuit breaker got any power, and the power wire wasn't getting anything. I bridged a wire from the cig lighter to the breaker power wire anddd tadaaaa the windows work flawlessly!! So the wires somewhere from the fuse box to the curcuit breaker lost connection. I further limited it down up to the 25pin connecter (c302). I tested the green/grey wire from the connector and its getting power from there. At this point, the loss of connection is from the 25pin connector to the curcuit breaker.
For those of you who read up to hear, I'd first like to thank you lol. Now my real question is... Instead of digging through the dash/carpet, can I just splice into the green/grey wire from the 25pin connector and lead the wire to the curcuit breaker? Wouldn't it be the same, just re-routed? I'm really considering doing that instead of digging all around the dash.
Sorry for the novel, but had to inform :/. Any insight would be highly appreciated :). Thanks!
