Looking for cheap good bang for the buck 5 1/4" components

Anyone have any good recommendations? I'm not looking to spend a billion dollars on overrated focals or anything...

I need something that will fit the stock existing areas, and will be driven by a 4ohm 50watt rms amp.

Would prefer components if they fit the tweeter pods!

Let me know if you guys have any good recommendations!

On a scale of 1-10, what would you rate a set of stock premiums and what would you rate these? I'm also considering piecing together a setup based on recommendations.

You will not find any other speaker on the market now or ever that has as much or as good a bass output as the as the stock PS speaker. There are MUCH better speakers out there, but none of them have any bass at all.

You can run the PS mid in the rear location, just bypass the built-in crossover and loosen the panel, shove the speaker in place THEN mount the panel. Don't remove it completely, just get it out a couple inches.

I bought 6x8 speakers and gutted the center of the original speaker covers in the rear and installed them that way. Looks stock but sounds 110% better!! Goes great with subs. Easy mod

I actually like the new stuff better than the old stuff, but it is still very bright.

Maybe i should toss on some capacitors or get a real crossover before i toss the premium speakers.

Add a nice 4 channel amp and turn it up. :) deck power will never get it done. IMO

Well, why not do a basic mylar cap 12db/oct high pass for the tweeter and a basic 6db/oct on the mid? Wont take but 20 minutes once the speaker is out. Maybe $10 in parts?
