I saw a pretty cool setup someone made with a rear seat that had a fold down armrest with a opening for Skis leading to the trunk.
He installed the sub right in that hole between the seats, facing in toward the cabin. With that type of a setup, 8" would probabaly be all you need.
Hell, Id go for an 8" sub over a 10" anyway with our cabin size- plenty of dedicated bass to fill it.

I swapped a SWR843D into a pre-wired, power matched setup. Sounded great, supplemented the sound well, not overpowering. I dont listen to Hip-hop much though, musical styles can strongly effect the speakers you choose, especially the sub.
That was perfect for my application- Blues and classic rock; with the occasional electronic jam.

I am currently looking at a rear seat delete in my vert. Using Alpine 10inch shallow mount sub and Alpine old school M/V12 series amps. 1 monox500, 1 4channel mid/tweets. Took the set up out of an old car that got totalled. I'm looking to delete the rear back rest and leave the seat bottom. Have a custom box built in the backrest position and cover it in outdoor black carpet to match the interior. I dont ride anyone in my rear seats any way. My hu is the Alpine 126BT with optional red lights. Nice hu with usb/aux x 2/ and rear ipod hookup. Bluetooth doesnt turn me on but I got a good deal brand new. My problem is how to custom shape the sub inclosure.
