    Help with selections (long)

    Hey guys,

I am not a stereo guy, but love music. I bought my e30 and it had no head unit, stock fronts and some crap rears. I hooked up the new head unit on Saturday, and all is well there. I have been trying to learn as much as possible for selecting speakers and an amp. I have a serious problem with overkill, so much so that I sometimes just do with out when I can't make a decision. Maybe someone can see what it is I am doing and let me know if I am going the right direction, or can maybe recommend some speakers that will work well for our cars. I pretty much set on the 4 channel amp, open to suggestions on the sub amp and sub. Also, should I use two identical sets of components for the front and rear?

This started with "I want some tunes" and is now looking at 1500 or so, lol. I will post links to what I'm looking at...

I would have already bought these if I had not read that silk tweeters give a "warmer" sound than the aluminum.

I like this amps numbers and apparent quality, and they have a 150x4 @ 4ohm for not much more if needed.

I like this for the sub.

My first sub choice was the JL 8w7-3, but I have found a good recommendation on a stereo forum for this.

I also had seen a post by Luke, for the JBL C508GTi and then found this.

Is it just as good as the non MKii??? IDK Is it better than the Diamond audio?

    Cheers,
