I found my old fave Image Dynamics CXS62 chameleons

So, since these 6.5"s wont fit, I went ahead and ordered a set of CX52 mids to take their place. Should hopefully fit easier, also 2ohm so crossover points wont shift.

Alright! Got the CX52s installed, along with NX30 tweeters that BARELY fit behind the stock e34 tweeter grills. What a difference over stock crap tweeters and mids. The CX52s fit PERFECT in the stock front location, I do still have the CX62s but they are HUGE and will take some work to get them to fit in there.

I re-used the stock wiring after removing the stock amp, and ran some stinger 6 channel flat rca cables, and 4ga for the amp in the trunk. The polk db 12" sub is the weakest link currently in the system, it sounds good and does get loud but does not have very high definition to the bass that I really like. I should have never sold my IDQ v2 subs.

Running the MB Quart 4.125 amp to power the front components with 250wrms per channel (I love having more than enough power for no compression and clipping) and 500x1 to the sub.

I helped Darin install some 6.5" CDT components in his old e34 (James' dad owns it now). The tweeters made the biggest difference by far.

Still loving it, I need to track down a few rattles now but it's been great at anything I throw at it.

The IDs should fit, that driver is the Phoenix Gold Zero point 6.5'', I think it is bigger.
