    Need switch advice please

Hello guys. I'm new to this forum and had a few questions. I searched on this forum and a few others and can't find a drawing or diagram on how to add a kill switch. My friend just got his e30 stolen and would like to protect mine. Please tell me if this is correct.

    1) I can use a 50 amp switch that has only 2 connectors in the rear

    2) I cut the ignition wire which is green, correct?

3 Add a long wire to both ends and connect to switch and hide.

I've read sooo many threads and none are precise and have different ways of doing it such as adding a relay, fuse, 3 connector toggle, and more.

What would be the best set up? Can someone lead me the right way to do this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've spent plenty of time in Oak-town. I recommend you stop being such a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles.

Instead of using a high amp switch, just use a relay and a low amp switch. Then you can mount the relay close to the ignition wiring and run wires from it to where ever you want for the switch. This keep the ignition wire as short as possible and keep you from running it all over the car.

A standard 30amp relay will be plenty.

Thanks. The relay worked great and its concealed in a place where even I have a hard time getting to. :)
