RE subs

Luke, have you used/heard any of the RE woofers?

They have three lines I believe, the middle one specifically..

I am just thinking if the polk db won't give me enough bass I'll switch to this if it fits the box...

RE is big in the SPL world for sure. I have done about 5 vehicles with em. They do sound pretty damn good I think. For sure I am not an audiophile like Luke. The SEX line is a hybrid of their SE and X line. I have seen hybrids of the SE and XXX line. Those came before this line of woofers though.

I want SPL but with SQ.... how good are they in sound quality? Last subs I've used that I liked were IDQ v2, CDT, DEI, JL w3, Polk db....so I hope it's at least just as good ?

I did a pretty crazy box for one of their triple magnet 10's, I was pretty impressed, until the magnet broke off.

That woofer was fairly old though, 8 maybe 10 years?

I personally heard them play and thought they have a better SQ than the DB series.

Most of the guys that were running those changed to Digital Designs. Personally I think the DD sound better. My buddies shop did 4 15" DD's in a blow through. They hit a 156db and it could play rock. Very punchy for a 15".

I have one of their cheap $50 REX 12's in Luke's box and it is amazing with a cheap ass "800w" Sony POS amp.

I have also used the SRX line as well as the SEX line in sealed boxes. Both sounded great with some good power to them. I would recommend...
