For the crazy bastards who want a HUGE woofer like this

This is LOTS more work, but will allow big burly woofers: The JL 10W7, the JBL Power 1022, the Orion HCCA. Mounting depth

I have a spare car right now (WAAAAAAA, I broke my caaaaaaaar!) to model it in.

This design will keep the rear speakers, the ports should be the same place as the V2 12" box, but it will be deeper...that damn 9" mounting depth is a bitch.

Expect this thing to be roughly $350, unless you want a rear window, inside of the box painted, etc.

I have several silly projects piled up, but I do have just a bit of help for a day or three (cannot wait until my Son gets here!) and will be posting pics of the first one when it gets done.

Thanks, guys, thanks for supporting me, thanks for being so patient.

This thing WILL get off the ground, will become just like a real company, with product in stock and immediate shipment, just like a real company. Doing that while being in pain, having no money OR credit, trying to juggle all kind of crappy things AND splitting up with the old lady is kinda rough, but I can make excuses for days, right?

    Time to get to work.

    Luke

SVC or DVC? Difference? Ohm rating for these?
they come in single 4 ohm and dual 4 ohm. I have a single 4 ohm in luke's box with 290 rms going to it and it is awesome. These things power is underrated at 250, because they can take more and sound great.

Picked up one of these and a lukebox. Can't wait to put them to use!!

Any recommendations on the specs of the sub for said box you are building? I need to start looking for something...

I am honored, my good man, honored.

No clue on final price yet, but should not be much more expensive than the 10" box.

I am thinking I want to make them as light as possible, so considering using 1/2" MDF with extra bracing...but SQ matters to me, this thing has to sound not just good but terrific, because I am a snob like that.

great so far.. but i have some rattles to iron out!... it seems as though after i take out my trunk tar, the box fits, but it wont fit with the trunk carpet.. The clearance on one side is too small.. probably due to some body filler in the trunk...

Does any body filler come in the factory?

So the 3" of foam should be the size of ski pass hole?

/edit... got it to fit perfect with the trunk carpet.. and took out some foam.. and it sounds great!!... gotta get rid of my license plate rattle.

Would a slide miter chop saw help things out a bit? ;) I can drop it off in the AM Monday if you're awake.

    1) how do you "secure" your box in the back of the e30, such that it wont move around?

    2) how much foam should i take out of my leather non ski-pass seat?
