I have a Kenwood KDC-MP145 HU in my car. When I have it on moderately loud for a long period of time (have to have it loud, straight pipes :( ), the audio quality significantly dies down and it becomes rather crackling and no bass. The only solution is to put the volume a little down for a small period of time, then I could "blast" it again. This is at volume 26 out of a max of 35 on the HU. What could be the deal? It's almost as if it just gets tired from a long sprint or something..

I'd bet the speakers could be causing the HU to work a bit so start with new speakers, then amp, then head unit if no avail...Originally posted by TSI♫ Rust flecks are falling on my head...♫OEM+
