how do I tell if my car has the amp?

The bently manual doesn't really show where it is. Is it behind the power antenna in the trunk? I work with a guy who used to install stereos at a shop and he thinks that in my car you only have to bypass the in dash fader switch.

If you have premium speakers (tweeters in the a-pillar pods), you have the amp. If you have the basic 4-speaker setup, you don't have the amp.

In any case, you should rewire each speaker to a new headunit.

My car only has the speakers in the kick panels and the speakers on the rear deck. I do plan on rewiring but I would rather wait and rewire when I get new speakers all around. For now I only plan on doing the head unit.
