    Swapping Late model harness into early E30

    Hey all,

    First time posting to these boards, but I've been gathering info from them for a few years. I thought I'd hit you guys up with a question. I've used the search function on the site as well as Google. I came up with a few vague posts on the subject but mostly everything I found is for swapping a different type of engine into an E30. So my question is this: I have an engine from a 90 E30 and I dropped it into my 87 ic. I didn't notice that the connectors were different in the glove box till I actually pulled the ECU connector through the firewall. The new end has black and white 3 hole (x2) connectors coming out of the harness right at the ecu connector. The old end had like 5 different connectors.

    Would it be easier to splice up the new wiring harness to get this car running or would it make more sense to tear everything out of the engine bay again to swap the old harness back in? The newer harness is in MUCH better shape than my old one. Any thoughts?
