    Window switch help

Well it's not as impossibly desperate as the title makes it sound, but anyway I can't get my driver's side window to go up.

My old passenger window switch shorted out a while back and so I changed over to e36 window switches and it worked fine for a while, then a couple of times the window wouldn't go up on the driver's side so I'd give it a gentle thump on the side of the counsel and it worked but its stuck now…

Does this sound like the up wire didn't get a good connection in the crimp? What color wire is that so I can check? My thought is if it was something like that wouldn't the fuse pop? Any help is appreciated, this is driving me nuts.

There are 5 wires, two brown ones for ground, green +12, and the switch toggles the +12 between the purple and the black wires, for starter I'd take the switch and the gear boot out and check all these wires for bad connections.
