    PIA radio code

I have a BMW radio I rmoved from a 88 2 door. Of course no code. The local dealers are no help (one said put in any number till it works)

Is there anywhere I can get this magial code?

    Thanks

Sometimes, if you are lucky, mechanics will have written the number on the casing of the radio in Sharpie. I suspect you would have noticed this, but just figured I would mention it. Dealerships should be able to help, though they might be difficult or unmotivated to do so.

You will need the vim# of the car you removed it from. Go to the dealership and explain how you got the radio. Most dealerships require proof of ownership. Thats why you have to let them know how you got the radio. They can get you the code, some of the dealers are shitty with trying to help out. These guys work on commission. $10 bucs may help. Good luck...........................G.
