Adaptor Need, anyone good at digging?

I need the opposite of the convertor below. I need to convert a standard antenna plug to fit my Boxster's stock radio (I'm trying to use an FM modulator). Anyone have any ideas? IF the plug isn't available is there way to make one/half ass it? I would post this on the Porsche forum but they all suck. They would tell me to buy a newer porsche with an ipod port, only R3V knows how to half ass it.

go to your local car stereo shop and buy it?

Every shop I have been at in the last 15+ years always carried that in stock.

Then why can't I find it online? They have adaptors to convert from the universal antenna to a Porsche plug?

look for "euro plug" instead of Porsche plug.

BTW: you may not be able to do an RF modulator on your boxster. There may be +12V on the center pin of your deck. It is an output to drive the powered antennas used on some VAG product. Grab a DMM and test the center pin of the antenna plug with the deck on. Just because your car does not have a powered antenna (don't know about your car, I have no details) does NOT mean your radio doesn't have that output.

        Test it first.

If you see ANY voltage, it will instantly smoke your RF modulator. You may end up using a wireless module, but mounted in the rear of the car so the antenna can "see" it.

The problem is its not a "euo plug" it looks like a US plug but is narrower. It seems to be Porsche specific. Thanks for your help

I need the reverse of this

That ^ looks the same as a mid-2000s Jetta or Audi.

I am not certain, but I do not believe that is P car specific.

BTW: I just checked the 2 major vendors, AAMP and Metra, neither show a category for Porsche at all. I generally just look at them and go grab one off the wall (when working in a normal shop, that is) rather than search application guides.

Kinda weird...they both list Tesla, ferchrissakes!
