You need to connect the line from the headunit to the amp that triggers the amp to turn on. Off the top of my head I can't remember which one it is, but I think it is either blue or blue/white.

Well, if your car had the premium sound stereo setup, I suppose you could reuse the line to the factory amp, and then cut off the other end(at the factory amp) and run it to your new amp. I would just run a new line along the same path you ran your RCA's. Are you using an amp install kit? It should come with a remote line. Or, you could just make one out of any 12-16 gauge wire you have lying around.

Are you using a factory headunit, or an aftermarket one? If you are using an aftermarket one there should be a simple wiring harness that clips into the back of your headunit. Coming out of this bunch of wires should be a blue/white wire. Connect this to your amp remote line, the blue one that came with your amp install kit, and run it back to your amp and connect the other end of the blue line to the amp where it says REM or something similar.

Oh, and remember to make sure that the factory amp isn't still being triggered to turn on anymore, s you don't need it now, unless you are using it to power the interior speakers. If you are using it to power your interior speakers currently, I suppose you could just jump you amp trigger line off the old one to the factory amp, and leave everything else in place. Sorry if this is getting confusing, but there are a number of ways to skin this particular cat.
