Help me diagnose a stock radio / amp issue ( video )

haha - its a focused street car/ hpde build. Need tunes but don't need to blow it out. Would love to hear how the pioneer went! i may order this thing THIS week if its that good.

Def I got pics, Video etc of the new setup it turned out Awesome and I think matches the E30 better than the Nakamichi' people use to swear by.

So far so good, Got the front part done, Tonight ill do the amp/bypass wiring in trunk. Just ran out of time yesterday to finish. At first I was like wow rats nest but once I separated the 4 twisted pairs and the power / ground / amp /antenna stuff it was clear and cake, The diagrams were key!

The stock amp is the same power as the Pioneer (or any other aftermarket deck) so it is cleaner sound not using one amp into another.

Makes perfect sense thanks! Gonna purchase a deck soon and follow your sticky to remove the old stuff and put in the new head unit.

Listening to your video makes me think it is a deck issue.

Def think its the deck now.. Today while driving the noise went completly away and I had sound from all speakers which sounded decent. When the noise was gone I could use the fader and balance fine.

Then later the noise was back and the buttons did nothing.

Either way im looking atleast into that Pioneer and the Amp bypass for now.. Any benefit to bypassing vs not bypassing the amp if your not adding another amp yet?

If you get a "sharktooth" Obcon 10" ($34+$7 shipping, WAY better woofer than your Kicker) and a Jensen 5 channel Power 5500 ($140 shipped) and one of my 10" boxes on that Pioneer DEH6300, it will kick the shit out of your other car...seriously.

Even with the stock Premium Sound speakers!
