Just figured I'd post a quick amateur (no audio pro that's for sure) review of the HU I just bought for my car.
I picked up a JVC KD-R820BT and overall (although previously not a JVC fan) I'm quite happy with the HU.
It's got a ton of features for customization of screen, positive/negative display, colors etc and a bunch of features for tuning the audio itself. It's got the iPod connector in the back and if you have an iPod or iPhone it will work in conjunction with your Pandora app. The HU came with a long cable with a microphone at the end of it that you can run along the dash, up the A-Pillar and clip the mic to the visor if you choose to use the BlueTooth function for a hands-free for your phone.
Your iPod/iPhone can be controlled right through the deck itself using the rotary knob as you would the rotary wheel on an older iPod. I have my 160GB iPod classic hooked up to it and residing in the glovebox. The iPod cable is long enough that you could run it to the center console if you prefer to control the iPod/iPhone manually.
It's also got a front USB port that you could plug a thumb drive into for other audio options. I use that when my girl is in the car, she doesn't like my music, so sometimes it's easier to plug in the "Kelly Thumb" so I don't have to hear the incessant bitching about my tunes LOL
I have mine set to Orange button zone with white screen for the day time.

When you turn on the headlights/parking lights, instead of a normal screen dimming (which you can set if you prefer) it automatically switches to your set nighttime color.

Overall there are 30,000 individual colors or so they say, and it breaks down to individual color choices you can pick from, or you can adjust the RGB sliders to customize your colors. This is what I used to get a damn near exact match to the OE dash colors since I hate it when shit doesn't match! The orange is just about impossible to read during the day which is why I had to go with the white for when it's light out.
Hope this helps someone if anyone who is as anal about interior matching as myself.
Enjoy! :D
