trying to wire euro clock, blew a fuse, no radion...?

    ok so i used this

    "
Hi-you need the plug from the top of the door that plugs into the mirror itself. It's a perfect fit. Make sure you save some lengths of wires to splice into. On the clock, I checked my hookup, I'm 95% sure this is correct: the number 30 post, the one all the way to the left by itself, is for the light, splice this to any of gray with red tracers wires that light up other dash lights. Next, the 31g and 31 posts are the power to the forward and back buttons to adjust the time. You can run these together to any 12v hot wire. The last post 58k, is the ground. That should take care of it. If you can't find a plug, you could use some crimp on connectors that will fit over the posts on the clock. Good luck..."

    from e30tech.

then tried to find a 12v with my multimeter, did but didn't work, looked up another wiring diagram, found this

    for clock:
    31-12v
    31g-12v
    58-ground
    30-ground

    tried that, no work.

then my friend said we should use cigarrette lighter for a sure 12v source, not a good idea, it jumped the connections, blew a 7.5 fuse and now my radio, tach lights, and few other things aren't working. is all that supposed to be on the same fuse? or did someone fuck up the wiring of the head unit, which i suspect?

also, what is the correct wiring for the euro clock?

not sure if i fried the clock or not, but my friend took it with him and he has a pretty good multimeter that will give readings to tell if electricity can flow through whatever is being tested(forgot name of this).

anyway any help is good help.

Ok so my buddy tested the clock, says it's still in working condition and replaced the bulb.
Now any definitive help on wiring?

Not sure about the fuse that blew and all that but for wiring up the analog clock:

So what you need to do is grab the mf clock harness and cut these wires:
      red/white-power
      brown-ground
      gray/red-illumination power
      brown/white-illumination ground
It worked for me when I wired up my analog clock 2 weeks ago. I didn't cut anything, I used wire tap splices. Worked great.

I went from the 6 button OBC. I don't know if the wires are the same for the 13 button OBC if you have that. Check the Bentley for the wiring I guess.

By the way, when faced with an unknown euro electrical component with numbers on the terminals, have a look here.
