Guys, this is simple stuff. The goal to me is for YOU (the guy spending the money) to hear the bass...but, as that article shows, that is not easy in a sedan. The thing is you need to look at it as 3 boxes: the cabin is 1 box, the trunk is another and the subwoofer itself is the third.
Pay attention to that part! 3 boxes, got it?
Because my design seals ALL of the bass into the cabin (yes, there is a gasket) this changes stuff. Essentially, the box is in the cabin, the trunk no longer has an effect.
That means it is now 2 boxes: the box is in the cabin. Make sense?
However, this is a MAJOR fucking bitch to do. That is why my design is the only one on the market, for any car, from any manufacturer. Basically, it is too much work for the lazy greedy bastards out there in car stereo land.
So, to recap, IF you do not seal 100% into the car, face it backward or up. You can go rattling around town booming the hood until your shit gets stolen or you get too any tickets, have fun with that.
If you have the skills to make ALL of the bass go into the car, face it forward.
Lets talk about that for a second:
I am talking 100 fucking percent INTO THE CAR, like with a gasket and all, screwed down and all...let me say this again: 100 percent INTO THE CAR, face it forward. Otherwise, do they typical car stereo shop bullshit of facing it backwards...and have a rattle can car.
Let me make this clear: My 10" box with 200 watts will kick the shit out of your "pair of 12's with 1000 watts" on it in every way. Louder, lower, cleaner, clearer and no rattles, because my design is actually engineered to work in your car.
Oh yeah, you get some trunk space back, too.
I wish I had the guy who did that paper around. If I had test equipment like that hanging around I could show it easily.
It is also so much more efficient that you need hardly any power. To me, it is a "duh" thing: do I put the bass energy into the trunk or into the cabin.....hmmmmm....
That is why my boxes kick the shit out of whatever bullshit is out there. If you have not heard one, you have no clue. Seriously, my 8" box makes deep clean bass that you can feel, even with only 150 watts. The 10" is more efficient, the 12" even more so.
My car with 600 watts on a single 12" moved my roof enough to launch shit off of. James Crivellones E28 has enough bass to fuck with your vision, not just your ears, and it has 900 watts on a big burly 12". My next sub with be "Beast Style" and have a 10" JBL GTi woofer on 1200 watts, my goal is 150db in an E30 using ONE 10" woofer.

Dude, chill out! I'm buying a Luke box! :D On a side note, my trunk doesn't really rattle right now. I don't have the amp or HU sub output turned up real high right now. But, I would love to have my trunk room back and get clearer bass so I'm buying your box (that's what she said). I'm not looking foward to the trunk tar and the package shelf though. :) I have a crap Sony Xplod 700W amp pushing a Kicker 12", so it should sound amazing.
