Radio & OBC will not illuminate

My newly installed kenwood HU will not illuminate, powers up and plays as it should but the screen won't light up. The obc is very dim, can barely see the text, also the stock HU I removed looked just like the obc, screen very dim. It doesn't light up when the headlamps are turned on either.

The instrument cluster, climate controls, etc light up.

any ideas on what it could be or where i should start?

Check your fuses! Sounds like you blew one, all that stuff runs off same fuse. Kept blowing it when I tried to wire in a euro clock.

Something must be wired wrong
