    got a quick question

ok im just now getting my stereo all situation i got a deck 2 5.25" speakers for the front and i have 2 8" subs for the trunk and im getting stock premium speaker housings for the rear deck so i can put 2 more 5.25" speakers now my question is can i wire the 2 8" subs to the rear speaker wires?....im going to be installing everything and getting an amp later on so it will be temporary so im wondering what the best way to wire the 8" subs is? any ideas?

Check the ohms that your subs are rated for first and see if they are 8 ohm or 4 ohm. If they are 4 ohm then more than likely you cannot use the stock amp in the E30 to power them. Also since the larger subs have more surface area then it would be needed to have a much more potent amp powering them. They wont be pushed by the stock amp at all.

Yes, you can run the 8's, regardless of their impedance, off of the deck or the factory amp. Just don't expect much in the way of bass, you will have less than 20 watts per channel no matter how you do it.

Go to WalMart, buy a cheap amp, install it, make more bass.

      Good luck!
