    Did my stereo kill my alternator?

    I'm pretty sure my alternator took a shit today. Car was dead, after jumping it, wouldn't hold a charge, and then misfired like crazy while trying to drive. Question is... Did it die from all my electronics or because she's an old bitch?

    im running...
    Jensen 5550 amp/infinity 1052w sub
    55w HIDs
    55w fogs

    If I'm replacing this alternator do I need something better than the stock one?

      Our alternators are ancient. I'd chalk it up to that myself..

          That is not a lot of load for the car. Though id ditch the HIDs and get real bulbs. The stock wattage for the fogs is 55w.
