Going to clean up the wiring, then hook up the sub amp, throw some subs in the trunk, till starter season is over, then finish the fiberglass boxes.

great stuff man! Did you figure out what kind of subs you'll be using in those enclosures? Also what kind of depth would you be working with? The sound of putting 2 alpine 8" R's or even some dynaudio 10"s in the cabin sounds sounds awesome. Work faster damn you! ;)

Probably going to go with Alpine Type R10" Shallows, I have a decent amount of depth, but I will have to use a shallow mount sub. There is over 1/2 cubic foot of space per side, so it should match up well to most 10 inch subs I think.

I will tell you one thing, even cheap MTX Coaxial's sound nice in the kicks with that 4 channel bridged to them. Can't wait to get some Hybrid speakers in there.

That's going to be amazing :) Don't the 8" R's only have a 4" mounting depth to them? Either way it's very exciting to be able to use such forgiving spec'd woofers because it gives you the chance to make a really nice clean and stealth install inside the cabin. Plus vite sur ton installation monsieur!!

I have mounted the baffles for the sub box. Just need to pick up some aluminium for the mounting tabs, then I can mount the sub and have some bass till I get the trim panels made. It is starting to slow down a bit at work so I should be able to make some progress, hopefully before it gets too warm. Once the weather is nice I will probably abandon all projects except for my 65 Beetle till it's on the road.

I added another aluminum mounting tab to the top of the enclosure as well, close to the front of the box. I will get a pic of that when I disassemble it all for paint.

The Trim, will be upholstered in matching vinyl, and the grille insert will get houndstooth if I can find matching material. You won't see the little design I made in the grille insert, it's just there to keep peoples elbows away.

I also realized since I told everyone else to seal the gap a 5 1/4 leaves in the front kickpanel, I should do it too.

Once the sub boxes are done, I am going to modify the kickpanels, so the speaker has more room between it and the plastic, and to get a grille with more open area in front, that should really help the SQ.

The black grille cloth isn't staying, I just need to find some Houndstooth material to match my car, which is proving more difficult than I anticipated.

How did you originally connect the baffle to the resin cast you made?
