    Black Plastic near door

So I have to run new wires for the rear drivers side speakers, because the previous owner ripped them out. Anyways how do I pull up the black peices of plastic that holds the carpet down? Thanks

very gently..so that you don't break the hold down clips. You might end up breaking a few in the process. Try not to crack or break the plastic. you have to pry up on the plastic gently.

i used a sliding method, take rear seat out (ass portion in a coupe) and just used piece of 1x1 square post of softish wood (pine) and just pushed that piece toward the back of the car and let it slide off those clips....when you have enough of it off you can slightly bend it so it goes up over the seat and you can remove it fully

reinstall just pop the clips up, some might break at this point due to age/brittle/force required, but slide them into the track and line it up where they will hit the holes, then take a rubber mallet and bang em in one by one till they are all done.

If you don't want to mess with those pieces, an easy alternative is to run the wires through the center console area and then under the carpet between the emergency brake to under the back seat.

          Do not pry up.

Slide forward or back to release clip from either end. After first clip is released, slide the other way to release remaining clips.
