Was wondering what you do when you find all 8 speaker wires located at the fader...I have searched the forum, as well as others, and google about 100 times with 100 different keywords and haven't had any luck. I have an '85 318i, with no external amp. Any push in the right direction is much appreciated. BTW, I am pretty new to this.

just wondering, why do you want to bypass it? -
you have 2 input wires, a dash light wire, a signal ground wire and 4 speaker positives.
you don't have 8 speaker wires.
