Cant be tood bad, and I believe they will fit in an E30

Well, they'll fit.. but getting the front kick panel back on might be problematic with how far forward the tweeter sits (if the pictures are right).

If you could remote mount the tweeters it would be ideal. Maybe with a dremel and some epoxy you could get them in the factors pods.

Would it be a complete waste of money if I kept the factory amp to power them?

They are not as good as stock Premium Sound...and you can likely pop the tweeter off and remote mount it

i haven't had the chance to read the specs., but aesthetic-wise it seems that the pioneer matches my interior better (the trims appear to be brushed-aluminum?) with the brushed-aluminum appearance from cluster rings and BMW OEM pedals.

we all want a close to "OEM look".

Pioneer DEH44 or DEH64 are my current personal faves...but ALL head units suck.
