    Windshield Wipers Stay On

If I use my windshield wipers, no matter what setting I turn it to, even if I just do the one wipe they will stay on in the medium fast setting. The only way to get them to stop is turn the car off and let it sit, and if I don't turn it off right as they fall into the full rest position they will come back alive when I turn the car back on.

Any ideas? At first I was thinking the actual level switch may be getting stuck, but now I'm thinking it is something electrical.

If the switch is having problems, that qualifies as an electrical AND mechanical problem. :p

Can't hurt to change the switch itself. Picking one up isn't terribly expensive. Most go for $20 or so shipped. After that it can only be the relay, or wiring. Doubting it's the relay though.

The relays stick. They get old and do that. The wiper module is the big black box in the fuse box. For a temp fix you can open it up and mess with the relay contacts.

Yeah I was thinking of just making an on/off switch for the entire wiper system heh, well thanks I'll start investigating and replacing.
