Guys, here is the deal, pure and simple.
I have got to make more money on these boxes, or I just can't continue doing them. If we were still selling 20 or 30 a month, all would be fine, but we just are not selling that many anymore. I have done 50 in a 6 week period, that would do fine too...but lately, we are talking 10 a month, so we have to increase profitability somehow.
So, as my focus will be shifting to a purely website based-sales platform, they will be sold upholstered only. Upholstering them is a pain in the ass, but they do look sexy, thus worth more money. Believe it or not, most E30 owners on the planet are not R3V members, but I do my best to take care of the people on this board. I love my R3V peeps!
The next car we aggressively pursue is the E46. Those will be expensive and only sold with an amp rack. There will be a 10 channel passive crossover available sooner or later too. Likely as not, considering what a pile of shit the stock E34, E36, E46, etc stock amps are, I should be able to sell quite a few of those.
So, I will never stop producing them, I am just changing the focus. Unfortunately, that means charging more, but you will bet a better product, too. The E30, E34, and soon E36 and E46 boxes will be around just as long as I continue to be able to produce them.
Thanks again,
LukeLeave a comment:

I was hoping to do this in around March, this isn't exactly the best time of year to find more unspoken for cash if you know what I'm saying.
So I guess the question is about the ability to get one closer to my timeline.Leave a comment:
