I just replaced the odometer gears in my VDO cluster and although the gears are now working properly and I can spin the numbers by hand using the magnet end of the gear turner, the dang thing won't register any mileage when running. The speedometer is working properly too. This leads me to believe that the odometer motor is also bogus, or is a non functional SI board making it so the mileage is not being registered. I guess my question is would a non functioning SI board be able to interrupt the power to the odometer motor so that it will not work?
