.175 amp draw goes away when fuse 28 pulled

If i let my e30 sit for more than 2 days, the battery dies. I hooked up an ammeter yesterday and i have 175 milliamps which is crazy. one of the first fuses i pulled killed the draw (fuse #28...) this fuse powers the antenna motor and the cig. lighter. I disconnected both items and draw is still there... but I noticed my VDO guage pack in the oddment tray isnt working now, and it made me remember that I tapped into the cig. lighter 12V for power to the guages. ..... So Is it possible for a guage to short out? It might just be a shorted wire elsewhere in the car, but Im just wondering if anybody else had any common issues with this circuit

sounds like a parasitic draw. If it was shorting out then you'd be blowing the fuse. Now that you know where its coming from check the splices between the guages and the original wiring for any damage or improper connections
