Attach wiper reservoir level sensor and brights lights come on?

After a few years of watching my windshield wiper level light flash on my check panel and various attempts to address it with used parts, I finally just ordered a new sending unit. But when I plug it in everything seems to work except my bright lights are on. They won't switch off and the indicator light is on as well as the actual lamps.

Any ideas of where to start trouble shooting this?
